The Kankakee Shadows Jr. Color Guard won National Championships in, 1959, 1961, 62,and 63. They competed in the Midwest Color Guard Circuit for many years. They were part of American Legion Post 85 of Kankakee Illinois. Gary Cartier was the drill Sgt. and Norm Sipple the manager.
