Dr. med. Beat Richner founded the first Kantha Bopha children's hospital in 1992. In the following 25 years he opened four more hospitals in Cambodia. The five Kantha Bopha children's hospitals treat about 80% of the sick children in Cambodia. The treatment of the children is free of charge.
